Hallabolo means “Raise your voice” and this platform has been created to empower every citizen to take a stand, raise your voice and crusade against corruption and other social evils plaguing our society. After a lot of research, discussions & consultations with various citizens, youth and students, we have now crystallized and devised a plan to create 3 “Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD)” to destroy all social evil, destroy all corruption & wrongs plaguing our society.
The 3 WMDs are the whistle, the mobile phone and the internet and shall ABSOLUTELY empower every citizen to be a crusader & whistleblower without any fear or hesitation.
How does it work ?
This is power to the people. This is power in your hands to combat any social evils, corruption and RIGHT every WRONG. Any Citizen can now use the 3 WMDs to address corruption or any wrong in society by themselves. Now every citizen can be a whistle blower. Simply & Literally!

This helps us to verify your personal details and authenticity. All registered identities shall be highly classified and maintained with utmost secrecy. All people who post videos / pictures have a choice at their discretion to announce their identity or have absolute anonymity. All registered members shall be EMPOWERED with a PRESS CARD that shall help you to take a stand fearlessly against any official/ cop because of FREEDOM OF PRESS.
Weapon # 1 : The Humble Whistle - Our discussions with various people showed that though they would like to address corruption and other social evils like eve teasing, child labour etc. However there is a natural fear to engage since we feel alone and powerless. The whistle is WMD # 1 to call for other citizen’s attentiveness and over a period of time this shall be universally recognized, so that people come to your aid and mass vigilance become second nature. This would help us all to get over our fear psychosis, apprehension and help us to engage to RIGHT every WRONG. The humble whistle shall be our first powerful weapon to destroy all social evils, corruption and thus empower us to RIGHT every WRONG.
We are told that the whistle was a weapon used by a Oriya Freedom Fighter who asked youth to blow the whistle against atrocities by the British during our freedom struggle. (The slogan by this freedom fighter in 1870 was Baazle citi-phatsi pithi---It means when a whistle blows it indicates somebody is beaten).
This idea was also tested on woman's day in 2011 by Hindustan Times who asked female students in Delhi University to blow the whistle against eve teasers. The results were very encouraging. Click here to read.

Weapon # 2 : The Mobile Phone Camera - Immediately after blowing the whistle keep the camera ready to record the incident. Record a Video/ Audio or Click a picture and post it from your computer or your mobile phone (Posting from the mobile phone directly shall be done sometime between late 2012 – mid 2013 after 3G bandwidth improves and the tech is tested ) and this shall get posted on www.hallabolo.com . Yes the mobile phone is also power in your hands. You need not feel powerless anymore! More power to you!
Weapon # 3 : The Internet- Once the videos are posted on the internet and the credentials of the posts are established by our chosen citizen editor, our “selected force of student volunteers” shall take over and forward links of posted videos/ pictures to respective offices or authorities for relevant action and follow this up to ensure social justice through your collective citizen action. Again power in your hands at your finger tips with the internet.
