From last 15 years after that revolutionary “cable TV network” many private TV channels entered into the tough and competitive market of entertainment and electronic media with hundreds of channels from sports, movies, news etc, gripping the vast audience of world’s second largest populated country India, news channels has successfully dominated larger part of television viewers across the country, and why not? After all who don’t want to get updated with every hour’s news?

There was a time when our national TV channel Doordarshan used to bring news twice a day (morning& evening). I came to know about our ex Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi’s murder on BBC radio very early in the morning because that time we were not having news channels, wishing we would have many more other than Doordarshan.

Few months before I came to know that the world is going to end soon with perfect date and time, I started preparing myself and trying to fulfill every (last)wish of my family and even my own self, than I saw how 1 man was talking to an alien by some “distinctive” code language, this confirmed that aliens do exist and I won a bet of 5k with my friend, I was amazed to see a small boy who now not less than a god after his mother saw a “tail” on his back, 1000 of devotees started visiting him. Really, a wonder. Oh!! Common now don’t screw the news!! Please. We are not at all interested in what Simran and Pooja (name changed) both homosexual women faced while applying for court marriage? nor we are interested in how Sultana(name changed) beat her husband in public while he was trying to marry second time without his first wife’s permission. Please only show us news or from last 15 years news channels forgot the meaning of news?

Now, you will say “we show what people like to see” or “we say what people like to hear” that’s business, yes that’s business. You know that more than 80% of Indian viewers really don’t care of anything going around in their life nor they really care which channel is spitting dirty things nor they understand what will really benefit them. But, do you think this will benefit you? How stupid I am to ask you such question. Yes, of course it’s already benefiting you but not for long because some ignorant, “we don’t care” types of people are waking up slowly but gradually.

Seriously, I have a firm belief that news channels are the prevalent source of media and information and is responsible for the most authentic and significant news published or delivered related to national and international events and affairs but sadly, most of our Indian news channels are busy fooling with our emotions, who to blame? Actually I apologize to all news channels openly. Please don’t cover my article or me negatively on your channels. I know you have the power! But I know I have the rights, right to speak and right to write. After all it’s so called democracy where poverty and illiteracy is a best formula to be rich and successful.

Lastly, I and many like me don’t want to know about a man who got pregnant, because we want news not a makeup news nor we want to waste our time because life is becoming shorter day by day. So please stop praising oneself that your channel is the first one to show how a man opted to sex change for his boy friend and than when he became she the partner ran away leaving her alone. Please be mature.
